“You couldn’t put any words against the players that they had not worked hard enough, not been committed, not been determined. They were fantastic in all those aspects.

“Quality, you could maybe start asking that and about trying to make more chances. Those things I could go with. But on the other side, they’ve done a great job.”

Everton’s display, while lacking the cutting edge required to breach a top-tier Arsenal defence, showcased resilience and professionalism.
