Danny Rohl has already achieved something at Rangers that no other manager has ever done at the club

Rangers’ attacking edge arrived at precisely the right moment on Sunday, as Danny Rohl’s side produced one of their most exhilarating displays of the season in a dramatic 6-3 comeback victory over Falkirk.

Having seen both Celtic and Hearts secure wins the previous day, the pressure was firmly on Rangers—and it showed early on. Goals from Ben Broggio and Finn Yeats inside the opening 26 minutes left the visitors reeling and staring at a damaging defeat. For a time, they struggled to find rhythm, managing just 48.6 per cent possession and appearing second best across the pitch.

Yet what followed was the kind of response associated with champions. Tochi Chukwuani’s fiercely contested strike just before half-time offered a foothold, and from there Rangers surged forward with intent and precision. Youssef Chermiti, Nicolas Raskin, and Bojan Miovski each found the net as the tide turned decisively in their favour.

Although Calvin Miller briefly stemmed the momentum with a penalty, further goals from Chermiti and Miovski completed a remarkable turnaround that could prove pivotal in the title race.

Statistically, Rangers’ dominance told its own story. They registered 20 shots to Falkirk’s seven, with nine on target, and amassed an Expected Goals figure of 3.7 compared to the hosts’ 1.7. It was a performance that underlined their attacking potential, particularly significant given the recent injury to Ryan Naderi.

The result leaves Rangers within touching distance at the top of the table heading into the decisive post-split fixtures. With five matches remaining—including crucial encounters against Hearts and Celtic—the margin for error is minimal.

Rohl, who has now guided the club to 21 wins from 35 matches, continues to enhance his reputation. Earlier setbacks, including surrendering a 2-0 lead against Celtic and a Scottish Cup exit on penalties, had prompted scrutiny. However, a run of four consecutive victories has restored belief.

As the season enters its final stretch, Rangers appear to be peaking at exactly the right time.
