Rangers Submit Fresh Bid as Star Forward Pushes for Move

Rangers boss Danny Rohl is expected to be busy in the closing days of the transfer window, with German star Ryan Naderi reportedly on the brink of a move to Ibrox. But despite the Gers’ persistence, Hansa Rostock have so far refused to budge on their valuation of the 22-year-old forward.

The Glasgow club have already bolstered their squad this January, signing Tuur Rommens, Tochi Chukwuani, and Andreas Skov Olsen. Yet there is still a strong appetite for more additions before the window shuts, with Naderi’s potential arrival seen as a key coup.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Rostock continue to reject Rangers’ offers for Naderi, with just over three days remaining in the transfer market. The Gers have revised their bid to €3.6million (£3.1million) guaranteed, including performance-based bonuses and a sell-on clause.

Naderi himself would consider joining Rangers immediately, but is open to staying at Hansa Rostock until the end of the season to aid their promotion push. With the deadline looming, the forward is reportedly keen to secure clarity on his future.

Should a deal fail to materialise, Rangers are understood to have a contingency plan in place, with Dutch striker Joel Piroe of Leeds United earmarked as an alternative target.

Naderi, who only joined Hansa Rostock last summer, has impressed in the 3. Liga. Returning from a muscle injury in late September, he has since scored eight goals in 13 starts, making him one of Germany’s brightest young forwards and a clear priority for Rohl.

Rangers’ current strike options have struggled for consistency this season. Captain James Tavernier leads the club’s Premiership scoring charts, while Emmanuel Fernandez, Thelo Aasgaard, and Youssef Chermiti have only four goals each. Mikey Moore, Danilo, and Bojan Miovski are on three apiece, leaving the Gers short on firepower as they chase the title.

Rangers sit just four points behind leaders Hearts with 15 games remaining, including five in the split. Having lost only twice all season, Rohl’s side remain very much in contention, but a timely addition in attack could prove decisive in their title bid.
