While Brownhill has reportedly been offered a massive £100,000-a-week contract by Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab, it’s highly unlikely that Leeds would match that figure. After working to get Patrick Bamford’s high-earning contract off their books, the club would be hesitant to hand a similar wage to a player who wouldn’t be guaranteed a starting spot or a high goal-scoring return.
The club’s attacking struggles have been a point of concern, with football pundit Jeff Stelling expressing his doubts about their current forward line. “I just don’t know who is going to score the goals for them,” Stelling said. “I can’t get excited over any of their signings.” He specifically mentioned new signings Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor as players he wasn’t convinced by.
